WARRANTY & PRODUCT POLICY

1. Overview

By accessing this website or purchasing products from Underlight Labs, you agree to the following terms, conditions, and policies.

These terms apply to all users, including customers, commercial operators, and site visitors.

Underlight Labs products are designed and sold as general-purpose horticultural support equipment.

Products are not intended for use in any unlawful activity.

2. Product Use & Limitations

Underlight Labs products are designed to support lightweight horticultural equipment in controlled environments.

We do not guarantee:

  • plant health

  • crop yield

  • cultivation outcomes

  • compatibility with all third-party systems

Proper use is required at all times.

Load & Installation Requirements

  • Maximum load: 6 lbs per stand

  • Use two stands per fixture

  • Ensure even weight distribution

  • Install on stable, level surfaces

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in instability and void any applicable warranty.

3. Environmental & Use Restrictions

Products must be used in appropriate environmental conditions.

The following are considered misuse:

  • Overloading beyond rated capacity

  • Improper installation

  • Modifying or altering the product

  • Exposure to excessive heat or chemicals

  • Submersion, soaking, or prolonged exposure to liquids

  • Use in unstable or unsafe conditions

Stands are not designed to be submerged or soaked.
Prolonged exposure to moisture may cause warping or structural compromise.

4. Orders, Payment & Pricing

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

Underlight Labs reserves the right to:

  • refuse or cancel any order

  • limit quantities

  • adjust pricing at any time

Payment must be received in full prior to shipment unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Customers are responsible for:

  • providing accurate shipping information

  • inspecting all items upon delivery

Any damage, defects, or missing items must be reported within 72 hours of delivery.

Failure to report within this timeframe may result in denial of the claim.

6. Returns & Commercial Sales

All commercial sales are final.

For non-defective products:

  • returns are not accepted unless approved in writing

  • approved returns may be subject to restocking fees

Custom or branded products are non-refundable once production begins.

7. Limited Warranty (California-Compliant)

Underlight Labs warrants that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 60 days from the date of purchase.

This warranty is provided in addition to rights available under California law, including the implied warranty of merchantability.

What Is Covered

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Material failures under normal use

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Overloading beyond 6 lbs per stand

  • Improper installation or setup

  • Product modifications

  • Exposure to excessive heat, chemicals, or environmental damage

  • Submersion, soaking, or prolonged exposure to liquids

  • Misuse, abuse, or accidental damage

Proper Use Requirements

  • Use two stands per fixture

  • Distribute weight evenly

  • Install on stable, level surfaces

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or liquids

Failure to follow these requirements may void the warranty.

Warranty Claims

To submit a claim, customers may be required to provide:

  • proof of purchase

  • photos of the issue

  • a description of how the issue occurred

Underlight Labs may:

  • replace defective components or products

  • request return of defective items for inspection

Third-Party Equipment Disclaimer

Underlight Labs does not manufacture or control third-party equipment.

We do not guarantee compatibility with all lighting systems or components.

Cultivation Disclaimer

Underlight Labs is not responsible for:

  • plant health

  • crop yield

  • cultivation success or failure

Products are support equipment only.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, Underlight Labs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

  • crop loss

  • equipment damage

  • property damage

  • loss of revenue or profits

  • business interruption

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the product.

Nothing in this section limits liability where prohibited by law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

9. Intellectual Property

All Underlight Labs products, designs, and technologies are proprietary.

Purchase does not grant permission to:

  • reproduce

  • copy

  • reverse engineer

  • manufacture similar products

10. Safety Notice

Products are not designed to support human weight.

Do not use stands as:

  • ladders

  • steps

  • structural supports

Improper use may result in injury or damage.

11. Compliance & Intended Use

Underlight Labs products are intended for lawful use only.

Customers are responsible for complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith efforts to resolve informally.

If unresolved, disputes shall be handled through binding arbitration in California, unless otherwise required by law.

14. Updates to This Policy

Underlight Labs reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time.

Continued use of the website or products constitutes acceptance of any updates.
